Amy Borello Gruss
I am an Assistant Professor of Environmental Engieering within the Civil and Construction Engineering Department. I have been a faculty member at KSU since Fall 2016. Previously, I worked for CDM Smith, a civil and environmental engineering consulting firm.
My current research is in the field of water and wastewater teatment - such as alternative disinfection systems, microplastic extraction & cycling, biosolids application, photochemical mercury removal, and sustainability.
I moved to the Atlanta area from Florida with my husband, and have since added two amazing, rambunctious kids to the mix. I enjoy traveling, cooking, listening to bands no one has heard of, attending DragonCon, hiking, watching anything Joss Whedon, reading, tardigrades, and painting ...just to name a few.
