Garrett Smith

Dr. Garrett Smith is an Associate Professor of Geography at Kennesaw State University.  He started at KSU in 1996 and has taught a range of human geography courses.  He was the founding chair of the Department of Geography & Anthropology from 2006-2011 and the Director of the Georgia Geographic Alliance during those same years.  He has enjoyed a variety of research interests that have included environmental and economic geography and more recently pedagogy and geography. He worked for the Peace Corps in West Africa in the 1980s and regards it as a pivotal geographic and life experience.
