Joel Crombez
Dr. Joel Crombez is an Associate Professor of Sociology in the Department of Sociology
and Criminal Justice. He received his Ph.D from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville
in Sociology with specializations in Political Economy and Theory. Dr. Crombez's research
and teaching interests include critical, social, and sociological theory, political
economy, technology, mental health, psychoanalysis, science fiction, media studies,
and the history of modernity and postmodernity.
His book Anxiety, Modern Society, and the Critical Method: Toward a Theory and Practice of Critical Socioanalysis is available in hardcover from Brill or in paperback from Haymarket Press.
