Dr. Leslie Hankey, Lecturer of Technical Communication in the Department of Technical Communication and Interactive Design on the Kennesaw Campus of Kennesaw State University.

Hi! My name is Leslie Hankey. I have a PhD in Technical Communication and Rhetoric from Texas Tech University. My research focuses on user experience (UX) and UX journey maps.

I have presented at national and international conferences sponsored by the following organizations: Council for Programs in Technical and Scientific Communication (CPTSC), Association for Teachers of Technical Writing (ATTW), Design Communication Association (DCA), Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC), Foundations in Art: Theory and Education (FATE), and International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (ISSOTL), and South Atlantic Modern Language Association (SAMLA). 

Courses I have taught include Foundations of Graphics; Applied Graphics; Graphics in the Professions; History and Principles of Design; Visual Design 1; Visual Design 2; Technical Writing; Sketchnotes and Infographics; Typography for Interactive Designers; History and Fundamentals; Information Design 1; Information Design 2; Productivity, Tools and Technology; Capstone Project Portfolio Showcase; and Journey Maps.

When I am not teaching, you might find me hiking in the North Georgia mountains or making artisan breads!
