MATH 1112 (College Trigonometry) Homework Assignments - Summer 2016

NOTE: Homework will not be handed in or graded in this course but it is absolutely essential that you do it and understand it. Coming to class, asking questions, reading the textbook, and doing and understanding homework problems are all essential ingredients for success! 

June 1: Study James Garfield's proof of the Pythagorean Theorem. (The goal is for you to be able to understand and write this proof. This will be on the first test!) In Section 6.1, do problems 1-30 and 71-97 and 101.

June 6: In Section 6.1, do problems 1-30 and 71-97 and 101. In Section 6.2, do problems 1-39 (odd-numbered problems) and also problem 26.

June 8: In Section 6.3, do problems 1-81 (odd), 83, 84, 85 and 86.

June 15: In Section 6.4, do problems 1-14 (all), 21-59 (odd), and 61-79 (all).

June 20: In Section 6.5, do problems 1-49 (odd-numbered problems) and 51-56 (all). In Section 6.6, do problems 1-31 (odd-numbered problems) and 33-44 (all).

June 27: Read the Detailed Notes on Trigonometric Identitites and in Section 7.1, do problems 1-71 (odd-numbered problems) and 73-76 (all).

June 29: In Section 7.2, do problems 1-38 (all). In Section 7.3, do problems 1-30 (all) and 51-56 (all).

July 11: In Section 7.4, do problems 1-67 (odd).

July 13: In Section 7.5, do problems 1-47 (odd).

July 18: In Section 8.1, do problems 1-31 (odd) and in Section 8.2, do problems 1-35 (odd).
