Bryan Gillis

Bryan  Bryan Gillis Ph.D. is a Professor Emeritus of English Education and Literacy in the Department of Secondary and Middle Grades Education (SMGE) at Kennesaw State University. He has taught methods of writing and reading, classroom management, and foundations of education courses for preservice teachers and also served as the Undergraduate Field Experience Coordinator for Middle Grades Education in the Bagwell College.

Bryan has authored two books, Chris Crutcher: A Stotan for Young Adults (with Dr. Pam Cole) and Sexual Content in Young Adult Literature: Reading between the Sheets. He is currently working on his first novel. Bryan's academic publications have appeared in English Journal, Teacher Education Quarterly, Voices from the Middle, The Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy, The ALAN Review, and Signal Journal.
