Cheryl Shinall
I offer the students of KSU teaching perspective from both industry and higher learning environments. In the past ten years, I have taught across the Technical Communication and English curriculum at Kennesaw State University and Chattahoochee Technical College. With over twenty years of industry experience at public companies, I bring business perspective to the classroom from companies such as Lockheed-Martin, Georgia Pacific, The Home Depot, and The John Harland Company. Positions held with these companies include: Managing Editor of Internal Publications/External Affairs, Senior Editor Training Publications, Writer, and Corporate Trainer/Recruiter. I have edited and published an employee newspaper and marketing magazines with circulation of over 20,000. Writing and editing experience includes numerous employee training materials, as well as marketing, employment, and legal documents. While at Lockheed-Martin, I developed materials and coordinated training for a DOD Ethics program at the Marietta facility for 18,000 employees. I have conducted corporate training classes in sales and production management. Degrees held are from Emory University and Kennesaw State University.
Community involvement includes: Tellus Science Museum, member; The Atlanta Humane Society, supporting member; The Great Smoky Mountains Association, member;The Church of the Apostles, member.
