Dr. Nasrin Dehbozorgi

Dr. Nasrin Dehbozorgi is an Assistant Professor of Software Engineering and the director of the AIET lab in the College of Computing and Software Engineering at KSU. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, USA. Her prior experience in the industry as a Software Engineer and IT Manager has brought a rich professional background to her academic pursuits. 

Dr. Dehbozorgi’s research trajectory converges at the intersection of AI and educational innovation. Her research centers on harnessing the power of AI technologies such as Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Large Language Models (LLMs) to develop cutting-edge educational systems and pedagogical interventions. Her research portfolio extends to software solutions, system design and architecture, and User Experience/Interface (UX/UI).

A highlight of Dr. Dehbozorgi’s contributions is her current role as PI for the ‘Student Success’ project at the College of Computing and Software Engineering at KSU. This initiative aims to equip students in CCSE with essential soft skills through innovative learning experiences and faculty training. By improving students’ journeys during the initial years of their study at CCSE, the project aims to elevate their educational experience and prepare them for research and industry. Moreover, the project envisions the integration of cutting-edge technological skills into the curricula, ensuring student and faculty development.
