Dawn Tatum
Dawn Tatum is the Director of Partnerships & Engagements for the College of Computing
and Software Engineering (CCSE) and also a faculty member in Information Technology.
With over 25 years in the technology industry, Ms. Tatum has experience as an entrepreneur,
managing large technology projects for Fortune 50 companies and innovating non-profits.
Her passion is finding new ways to bridge the gap between industry and the classroom
through internships and engagements such as hackathons, industry sponsored capstones
and research.
- Areas of expertise include computer programming, software engineering, project management, leadership, networking, information security and ethics.
- She is the academic coordinator for the internship courses (CSE4983/CSE7983) forCCSE
- Chair for the fall CCSE Hackathon and the spring CCSE Hackathon for Social Good
- Central point of contact in CCSE for industry partners and alumni wishing to engage with students and faculty for recruiting, projects (capstone and consulting) and research.
