Erik Westlund
Associate Professor of Mathematics
Dr. Erik Westlund received his Ph.D. in mathematical sciences from Michigan Technological University in 2010. He joined the KSU faculty in 2011.
Dr. Westlund is a strong supporter of implementing active learning methodology in the classroom and in helping students become self-directed learners. His research interests lie in discrete mathematics, particularly combinatorics, extremal graph theory, and algebraic graph theory. He also has broad interests in best practices in undergraduate mathematics education.
