Hosain Haddad Kolour, PhD, PE, ABET PEV

Dr. Hosain (Amir) Haddad Kolour has over 26 years of experience in both academia and industry. He is a licensed Professional Civil Engineer (P.E.) in the states of Georgia and California. His areas of expertise include cementitious materials, structural engineering, reinforced concrete design, and engineering education.

Dr. Haddad joined Kennesaw State University in August 2022 and has served as the faculty advisor for the Steel Bridge Competition Team since that time. In this role, he mentors students and prepares them for regional and national competitions.

He regularly teaches the following courses:

ENGR 3131 – Strength of Materials
ENGR 2214 – Engineering Mechanics: Statics
CE 3202 – Design of Concrete Structures
CE 3201 – Structural Analysis
ENGR 3324 – Project Cost Analysis
ENGR 3132 – Strength of Materials Lab

In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Haddad is an ABET Program Evaluator (PEV). His combined academic and professional background enables him to bridge theory with practice, equipping students with both the technical knowledge and practical skills necessary for successful engineering careers.
