Jack T. Labriola
Jack T. Labriola, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Technical Communication in the Technical Communication & Interactive Design Department.
Dr. Labriola has presented his research at several national and international conferences, including the Council for Programs in Technical and Scientific Communication (CPTSC), Association for Teachers of Technical Writing (ATTW), and Special Interest Group on Design of Communication (SIGDOC). In addition, he has co-authored articles published in IEEE Transactions on Professional Communication and Kairos, conference proceedings for IEEE’s ProComm and the Association for Computing Machinery’s Special Interest Group on Design of Communication (ACM SIGDOC), and a chapter in an edited collection. His research focuses on usability, user-centered design (UCD), user experience (UX), design thinking, and collaboration.
When he's not teaching or researching, Dr. Labriola can be found watching his New York Yankees or Brooklyn Nets, playing ultimate frisbee in the community, or running the local trail with his two rescue dogs.
