Deputy Director of Nuclear Energy, Science, and Engineering Laboratory (NESEL)
Deputy Director of Center for Nuclear Studies

Dr. Jungkyu (Justin) Park is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Kennesaw State University. He has received Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, OH). Dr. Park has four years of experience in Combined Heat and Power Plant design at Korea District Heating Engineering Company. His research areas include nanoscale heat transfer, nanostructured materials synthesis, and the microfabrication of thermal sensors. Since joining KSU in 2016, Dr. Park has focused on studying the thermal conductivity of carbon nanotube-graphene junctions under mechanical strain and the sensitivity of the thermal conductivities of actinide oxides to point defects.
