I am an Associate Professor in the Department of  Industrial and Systems Engineering, and I also lead the Health Intelligence & System Analytics (HISA) lab.

I earned my Ph.D. in Operations Research from Columbia University and later worked as a researcher at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center in New York and as a senior operations research researcher at Sabre in Dallas. I also taught part-time in the Department of Information and Operations Management at Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School.

My research focuses on developing data-driven and systems-based approaches to understand complex problems and support better decision-making. I draw on data science, machine learning, optimization, simulation, and insights from the social sciences to study problems at both strategic and operational levels, with current interests in healthcare and other complex systems.

Beyond research and teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family. I am married with three children, and I enjoy cooking, hiking, and exploring new places with my family.
