Lisa K. Lock holds a BFA and MFA from the California Institute of the Arts in Los Angeles and a Ballet Diploma from the Grande Ecole de Danse in Bern, Switzerland.

Currently she serves as an Assistant Professor of Dance, and Interim Artistic Director at the Kennesaw State University. As a solo artist and choreographer Lisa performed extensively throughout the Los Angeles Basin as well as nationally and internationally. She was a recipient of an Individual Excellence Award by the Ohio Arts Council for her solo works, has been honored with a Lester Horton Award for outstanding achievements in choreography in Los Angeles, as well as voted best female dancer of the year by the Beverly Hills Outlook in Los Angeles. 

Just recently, she was a finalist for an international award for solo performers and was invited to perform in Mexico City at the International Contemporary Dance Festival, FIDCDMX.

As a choreographer, she set works on several professional and pre-professional dance companies among them, La Danserie in Los Angeles, Georgia Ballet, Full Radius Dance in Atlanta, Cleveland Opera, Verb Ballets, Ohio Dance Theater, Dancing Wheels, and the former Cleveland Dance Theater in Ohio. Her work for the KSU Dance company recently got selected to represent the South East region at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. Lisa comes with many years of teaching experience both in the university system and the private studio setting, recent festivals and intensive workshop teaching, including Complexion Contemporary Ballet, the International Ballet Intensive, KSU Dance Festival and KSU Summer Dance Intensive.
