Mitchell Olson
Mitch Olson teaches Screen and TV Writing at Kennesaw State University where he is building a Screen and TV Writing MFA program and training the many diverse and talented writers that he hopes to one day work with. He is also the Founder and CEO of Point South Productions, a production company in North Georgia that focuses on content development. Prior to moving to Georgia in 2018, he worked in Los Angeles in development and on shows for NBC, Fox, CBS and Netflix. He has served as a judge for NBC's Writers on the Verge, Nashville Film Festival. He currently serves on the board of Step Up and Pitch and Film Impact Georgia. Both are non-profit organizations whose missions support aspiring content creators. For the last four years he has worked closely with the Georgia Film Academy to develop curriculum and train teachers from around the state so that middle school and high school students have early exposure to dramatic writing and clear pathways from sixth grade through graduate school and into industry.
