About me

I am an experimental physicist. Currently, I am a Limited-Term Assistant Professor of Physics in the KSU Journey Honors College at Kennesaw State University (KSU). Starting from Fall 2021, I have been actively involved in both teaching and faculty service in the department. I have taught Honors Introductory Course (HON 1100) and now teaching PHYS 2211 (Mechanics) and PHYS 2212 (Electricity & Magnetism) courses (both lectures and   labs!). Before coming to KSU, I was a Visiting Asst. Professor in the   Department of Physics & Astronomy at Georgia Southern University (GSU).   Prior to joining the faculty at GSU, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow in The Vogel   Group at Georgia Institute of Technology, hosted by Professor Eric M.   Vogel.

 I am interested in teaching fundamental principles of Physics using   real-world examples in an active learning environment and studying   new principles or laws of Physics that describe different physical phenomena. I have taught Introduction to Physics I (PHYS-1111K) labs and Calculus-based Principles of Physics II (PHYS-2212K) for undergraduate physics and non-physics major students.

My research interests lie in the area of condensed matter physics, materials science, and nanotechnology. More specifically, my research focuses on the study of fundamental properties of metal and metal oxide thin films and nano-/micro-scale devices. My work seeks to develop more efficient and multi-functional nanomaterials and devices for environmental, energy, sensing, and resistive random-access memory (ReRAM) applications.
