Paul Orlando
Professor Paul Orlando is a part-time assistant professor of animation and illustration in the School of Art and Design's Animation department and has over twenty years of academic lecturing, teaching, and curriculum development. Professor Orlando teaches 2D and 3D design courses and specializes in digital illustration, 3D modeling, design, animation, VR, and visualization.
Professor Orlando has created illustrations for Disney Publishing Worldwide and Simon and Schuster as an illustrator, and his works have been published domestically and internationally in various publications.
As a 3D artist, Professor Orlando has extensive industry experience for companies such as Roblox, LLC and Wayfair, LLC. in character and prop design and modeling, animation, rigging, texture artist, lighting and rendering, and arch visualization. In his 3D career, Professor Orlando has assisted 3D production as a QC and 3D trainer, advising international production teams and image vendors on best practices of production pipeline standards.
Professor Orlando is well versed in Autodesk Maya, 3Ds Max, Zbrush, 3D Coat, Substance Painter, Unreal Engine, Unity, V-Ray, Arnold, Keyshot, Redshift, and Adobe products for post-production.
