I’m Meiling Ruiyang Sha, a Lecturer in Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering at Kennesaw State University with a multidisciplinary foundation in computer science and engineering.
I hold master’s degrees in both Computer Science (Southern Polytechnic State University) and Engineering (Xi’an Jiaotong University), along with a bachelor’s in science from Xi’an Jiaotong.
My professional journey spans academia and educational entrepreneurship. I’ve taught
at KSU since 2017, transitioning to a full-time role in 2022. Prior to that, I founded
and led Sharper Minds Academy, where I developed and delivered math instruction tailored
to diverse learners. I also taught at Alltop School, further deepening my commitment
to STEM education.
I’m passionate about student success, curriculum innovation, and interdisciplinary
learning. My contributions have been recognized with an Honorable Mention for the
Outstanding Part-Time Teaching Award by SPCEET. I currently serve as the RME Department
representative on the Senior Design Expo Preparation Committee and as Liaison Professor
for the Honors College.
As an IEEE member, I’m committed to staying engaged with the latest developments in engineering and technology. I’m always open to collaboration, mentorship, and opportunities that bridge education and innovation.
