Tamara Irving
Tamara Irving is an award-winning dance educator, choreographer, and creative consultant dedicated to transforming how people learn, lead, and live through dance. A former Broadway performer in The Lion King, she now serves as the founder of TMI Design & Consulting, where she helps educators, schools, and organizations integrate movement, wellness, and creativity into their work.
Through her signature programs — Growing Dance Educator, MotionWorks, Stage to the Classroom, and LEAP Lab — Tamara empowers artists and teachers to build sustainable programs that connect artistry and advocacy.
A respected leader in the field, Tamara was honored with NDEO’s Outstanding Leadership in K–12 Dance Education Award and continues to advocate for visibility and access in the arts through partnerships like Dance Stories ATL with photographer and filmmaker Shoccara Marcus, and her board service with Dance Canvas, DEGAS, and arts education organizations across Georgia.
Her work reflects a belief that movement is more than performance — it’s a path to wellness, leadership, and legacy.
