Affordable Learning Georgia (ALG) Course Transformation Project – Lab Manual and Demonstration Videos
The lab manual and demonstration videos on this page were developed as part of an Affordable Learning Georgia (ALG) Round 26 Course Transformation Project. The purpose of this initiative is to enhance student learning in CE 3502 Construction Materials Laboratory by providing clear, accessible, and no-cost instructional resources that strengthen preparation and reinforce understanding of key laboratory concepts.
Each video aligns with a specific experiment and demonstrates standardized testing procedures, proper equipment operation, and the fundamental principles emphasized in the course. These demonstrations are designed to supplement in-person instruction by helping students:
- Review laboratory methods before each session
- Visualize correct and safe testing procedures
- Understand expectations for data collection and reporting
- Reinforce conceptual learning outside the classroom
This project was completed in collaboration with Dr. Da Hu, with special thanks to Leonardo Bustinza and Greyson Hensley for serving as demonstrators in the laboratory videos.
