Dr. Chi Zhang is an Associate Professor of Information Technology in the College of Computing and Software Engineering and University Ombuds. She served as interim department chair of Software Engineering and Game Development from 2016 to 2019, and ABET program evaluator for the Computing Accreditation Commission since 2016.
Dr. Zhang received her Ph.D. in Information Technology and MS in Computer Science from University of Nebraska Omaha, MS Quantitative Management in Health Analytics from Duke's Fuqua School of Business, and a couple of other degrees. She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information & Management Systems (CPHIMS) and a Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA).
Her research interests include health informatics, health analytics, game-based learning, and STEM and IT education. Prior to joining KSU in 2010, Dr. Zhang had taught a variety of courses in computer science and information systems at University of Nebraska Omaha for nine years.
