Dal Hyung Kim, PhD

Welcome! I am an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Kennesaw State University (KSU) since 2019. I received my B.S. and M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Korea University in Seoul, Korea. I completed my Ph.D. degree in Mechanical engineering at Drexel University in 2013, and I did my postdoctoral training at Rowland Institute at Harvard University. Then, I joined Southern Illinois University as an assistant professor in 2017.

My expertise is in Control of a biomedical system and Robotics, with a focus on optimized control, brain imaging, modeling and planning, microscopic system design and microrobotics. At KSU, my research is focusing on developing motion conpensation system for a freely behaving animals using robotic systems.
