Hong Qu received her Ph.D. in Accounting from Carnegie Mellon University in 2010. Previously, she taught at Pennsylvania State University (2010-2018). Her primary research interests include how public disclosure affects price efficiency, how investors process accounting disclosure, and how coordination incentives affects investors’ decisions to analyze accounting disclosure. Her research applies experimental methods and draws on theory from accounting, economics and organizational behavior. Dr. Qu has published in Journal of Accounting Research, The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, Management Science, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, and Economics Letters. She received the Referee of the Year Award in 2023 by Journal of Accounting Research. Currently she serves as the Associate Editor at the Journal of Accounting Research
