Hello and Welcome to visit my website! I am a scientist working at the interface between chemistry and physics. My research interests are focused on the investigation of molecular geometry and properties using theoretical prediction and experimental detection methods. I believe that the integration of teaching and research increases the depth and breadth of learning. Thus I would like to have my students polish their textbook knowledge through research activities. To achieve this goal, my colleagues and I are working hard to establish an Ultra-High Resolution Spectroscopy Laboratory (UHRSL) to engage students in active research. We are currently building a Balle-Flygare Fourier transform microwave (FTMW) spectrometer capable of recording spectral transitions with the “state-of-the-art” resolution, FWHM ≤ 5 kHz. With the help of ab initio calculations, this superb resolution capability enables us to resolve and assign the hyperfine splitting patterns of open shell free radicals. Molecular structures and properties can be derived from well determined spectroscopic constants.


Students in various academic backgrounds can be involved in this interdisciplinary research program. We welcome motivated STEM students to join us and make contributions for the academic advancement of KSU.
