Dr. Becky LeFebvre is a Lecturer in the Department of Social and International Studies at SPSU focusing on the field of Science, Technology, and Society. She received her PhD from Kennesaw State University in the International Conflict Management program. Her research includes the study of how cultural norms affect decision-making in conflict situations and the study of peacekeeping in West Africa. She is currently researching the impact of digital technology on collective action.
Dr. LeFebvre has more than twenty years of experience in the technology industry, working in the fields of aerospace telemetry, embedded systems, and internet technologies at companies such as NASA, Motorola, and Turner Broadcasting. She has four U.S. patents for innovations in the fields of in-vehicle navigation and data systems. Previously she earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rice University and a Master of Science in Computer Science from National Technological University.
