Introduction
I am a teaching faculty at Kennesaw State University in the department of Chemistry & Biochemistry. I also serve as the faculty coordinator for the undergraduate organic chemistry teaching laboratory. My teaching philosophy and interests (r)evolve around providing students meaningful learning experiences both in the lecture as well as in the laboratory. With student success at the core of my teaching endeavors, my current pedagogical and scholarly interests include:
- Active learning in organic chemistry lecture – I teach my organic chemistry lectures in the widely popular flipped-lecture paradigm with class time exclusively dedicated in group problem-solving.
- Project-based learning and Course-Based Undergraduate Research (CURE) in the undergraduate organic chemistry laboratory
- Incorporation of green and sustainable practices in large-enrollment laboratory courses
