Dr. Chi Zhang is an Associate Professor of Information Technology and the Interim Department Chair of Software Engineering and Game Development in the College of Computing and Software Engineering. She served as University Ombuds from 2019 to 2021 as well as ABET program evaluator for the Computing Accreditation Commission since 2016.
Dr. Zhang received her Ph.D. in Information Technology and MS in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska Omaha in addition to her MS of Quantitative Management in Health Analytics from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information & Management Systems (CPHIMS) and a Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA).
Dr. Zhang's research interests include health informatics, health analytics, game-based learning, and STEM and IT education. Prior to joining KSU in 2010, she taught courses in computer science and information systems for nearly a decade at the University of Nebraska Omaha.
