Chi Zhang

 

Chi ZhangDr. Chi Zhang is a Professor of Information Technology at the Department of Information Technology, College of Computing and Software Engineering. She was the Interim Department Chair for Software Engineering and Game Development in 2016 - 2019 and 2021 - 2022. She served as the University Ombuds in 2019 - 2021, and ABET program evaluator for the Computing Accreditation Commission since 2016. 

Dr. Zhang received her Ph.D. in Information Technology from the University of Nebraska Omaha, and M.S. of Quantitative Management (MSQM) in Health Analytics from Fuqua School of Business of Duke University, M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska Omaha and M.S. in Instructional Technology from the University of Nebraska Kearney. She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information & Management Systems (CPHIMS) and a Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA).

Dr. Zhang's research interests include game-based teaching and learning, IT management, health informatics, health analytics, and STEM and IT education. Prior to joining Kennesaw State in 2010, she had taught computer science and information systems at the University of Nebraska Omaha for ten years in 2000 to 2009.
