Dana R. Hermanson is Dinos Eminent Scholar Chair of Private Enterprise and Professor
of Accounting at Kennesaw State University. He is one of the highest ranked researchers
in the BYU Accounting Research Rankings from 1990 - present. Dana received the 2020
Outstanding Auditing Educator Award from the American Accounting Association. He worked
with David Wolfe to introduce the Fraud Diamond as a new model to explain fraud, and
he has coauthored two COSO-sponsored studies of fraudulent financial reporting. Dana’s
letters to the editor often appear in The Wall Street Journal, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and the Marietta Daily Journal.
