Social Media Marketing & Analytics

MKTG 4520 – Social Media Marketing is an engaging, fully online course that explores the rapidly evolving world of digital marketing through the lens of social media platforms. Students learn how social media fits within the marketing mix and examine the changing behaviors of consumers in a digital-first world. Through interactive discussions, video content, and case-based group assignments, the course covers key topics such as content creation, influencer strategy, SEO, online communities, and measuring ROI. Students also gain practical experience using social platforms to create impactful marketing campaigns tailored to today’s dynamic digital culture.

Throughout the semester, students work in teams to conduct a deep analysis of a brand’s social media presence and develop a creative, original four-week promotional campaign. Emphasis is placed on strategic thinking, audience engagement, and ethical considerations in digital marketing. The course prepares students to navigate the digital landscape with confidence, equipping them with skills in campaign planning, platform selection, content strategy, and performance analysis that are highly valued in modern marketing careers.
