Research

In our lab, we study how genes and communication systems within cells affect the growth of organisms. When genetic abnormalities and disrupted communication pathways occur, they often result in developmental problems, and diseases like cancer. Our research particularly focuses on understanding the specific ways that organisms change cell shape during development and under diseased conditions, using fruit fly models. Our lab has a strong record of publishing scientific findings in the fields of genetics, cell biology, molecular biology, developmental biology, and cancer biology.
