Koungjin (KJ) Lim, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of strategic management in the Michael J. Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University. Originating from South Korea, he received his Ph.D. in Management (Strategy Area) from Purdue University, M.Sc. from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), and Bachelor's degree from Sungkyunkwan University.
His research interests encompass corporate strategy, strategic human capital, and their intersection. Specifically, his research examines how firms achieve growth through strategic hiring in the context of mergers and acquisitions. His research has been recognized with the Distinguished Paper Award from the Academy of Management Strategic Management Division, Best Paper Prize Honorable Mention and Corporate Strategy Interest Group Best Proposal Finalist from the Strategic Management Society.
