RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research is in the field of processing datasets acquired from terrestrial laser scanners and Unmanned Aircrafts (UA). My research interests include the following topics:

• Automated recognition and modeling of objects
• Mapping and monitoring of civil infrastructure components
• Developing efficient and accurate workflows for field operations of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS)
• Creating methods for automated processing of UA data for mapping and monitoring applications
• New applications of laser scanning and UAS in various industries
• Developing computationally efficient algorithms for processing point clouds 
• Interdisciplinary studies on various aspects of laser scanning technology and UAS such as feasibility, strength, challenges, and effectiveness
