The Asmar Research Group
Welcome to the Group!
We are a dynamic community at Kennesaw State University dedicated to advancing theoretical condensed matter physics and quantum materials.
We are passionate about fostering student involvement in cutting-edge research, offering hands-on opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students to contribute to new discoveries and develop valuable skills for future careers in science and technology. Our students take part in federally funded research, receive competitive compensation, regularly attend scientific conferences to present their work, and have earned prestigious awards—such as the Barry Goldwater Scholarship—for their achievements. They also benefit from Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REUs) and internship opportunities, gaining valuable experience and connections beyond the classroom. Students from our group have gone on to pursue their academic and professional goals at prestigious graduate programs and institutions.
We are always looking for motivated students to join us as we explore the fascinating
world of quantum phenomena—where light and matter meet!
Our group is grateful to the funding agencies and corporations that make our research possible
