Michael Braswell
With a background as a nuclear submarine officer, project manager, and entrepreneur,
I bring a unique perspective to academia. I use this perspective to not only educate
young engineering students in the classroom but to also help them to develop some
of the softer skills they will need to be successful in both their academic journey
and in the workforce. To further bridge the gap between academia and the workforce
I engage students in several engineering design projects, the most prominent being
the KSU renown Pumpkin Launch and the F1 car design for freshman students. I am committed
to helping my students develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary to
successfully enter the workforce after graduation and I approach every day with that
commitment in mind.
