PhD students
We are recruiting a fully funded Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) PhD student beginning in Fall 2026. We are seeking highly motivated candidates interested in advancing healthcare delivery through modeling and analytics. The selected PhD student will receive competitive financial support and a tuition waiver.
Required qualifications:
- MS in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related field
- Previous knowledge about data-driven optimization, Markov modeling, and simulation
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, R, or Julia) and optimization software
- Strong academic background
- Excellent writing, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- A high degree of self-motivation and curiosity
Preferred qualifications:
- Prior knowledge in data science, reinforcement learning, and large language models
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals or conference proceedings
