Marina Koether, Ph.D.
Welcome. I am a Full Professor with a balanced portfolio of teaching (60%), research
(30%) and service (10%).  This means I teach 3 courses per semester, leaving less
time for research and service.  My area of research utilizes my knowledge in Educational,
Environmental, Analytical and Pharmaceutical Chemistry.  Instruments that I may use
in the future are the dissolution tester, ICP-OES, FTIR, UV-Vis, Contact Angle, Particle
Size Analyzer, SEM, XRD and/or XRF. My research interests are in dissolution analysis
of pharmaceutical drugs, trace metal concentrations of environmental samples, the
scholarship of teaching and learning and analytical pharmaceutical education through
the use of course-based undergraduate research experiences. I routinely collaborate
with faculty in CHEM, EEOB and MCB on their research projects. Please ask me during
office hours about projects that I may be interested in pursuing. Please note that
I do not have any funding.
