Mikhail Lavrov

Hi! I'm Misha. (I'm also Mikhail Lavrov; I have many names.)

I am an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Kennesaw State University. I joined KSU in Fall 2020; prior to that, I was a postdoc in the math department at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I received my Ph.D. in mathematics from the Algorithms, Combinatorics, and Optimization program at Carnegie Mellon University in 2017, under the supervision of Po-Shen Loh.

My research is in Ramsey theory and extremal combinatorics, a large part of both being focused on problems in graph theory. I am excited about finding new constructions in combinatorics and graph theory, and I see theorems with tiny lower bounds and enormous upper bounds as a challenge.
