Matthew Lee

Matthew Lee is Clinical Assistant Professor of Economics and Director of the Education Choice Research Lab at Kennesaw State University. He is a Senior Fellow at the Association of Christian Schools International and an affiliated researcher with the Homeschool Research Lab at Johns Hopkins University, where he previously taught as an adjunct professor of education policy. He previously served as a Senior Fellow at the University of Buckingham (United Kingdom) and a non-resident scholar at the Center for School Leadership at Baylor University.

His research focuses on education policy, school choice, and religious education. His peer-reviewed research has appeared in Education Finance and Policy, Education Next, the Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion, the Journal of Religion and Health, Evaluation Review, and the Journal of School Choice. His writing has appeared in The New York Times, Law & Liberty, National Review, Forbes, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and the Georgia Public Policy Foundation blog. His research has been awarded $253,000 in funding and grants, and recognized with the Mensa Education & Research Foundation Award for Excellence in Research, the Best Paper Prize at the International School Choice & Reform Conference, and the Best Conference Paper Prize at the University of Arkansas, where he earned his Ph.D. in Education Policy.
