Paulo Gomes

Paulo Gomes is an assistant professor of Marketing & Professional Sales at Kennesaw State University. Paulo currently teaches the capstone course for the marketing major (Marketing Strategy MKTG 4990). He earned his Ph.D. from Mississippi State University in 2025.

His research interests are at the intersection of marketing strategy and supply chain management, with a specific focus on strategy formulation and implementation.  Paulo also has an interest in issues of corporate social responsibility and how organizations develop and deploy marketing capabilities to align their interests with societal expectations effectively. 

Paulo's current published work focuses primarily on the strategies organizations use to achieve their goals while meeting the requirements of external stakeholders for their well-being. Some of Paulo's ongoing projects investigate the social dimensions of strategy formulation and implementation. In these projects, Paulo is investigating how external forces shape and drive the strategic behavior of organizations and the role of marketing in acquiring and interpreting external information into the structures of the organization.
