Paul A. Story
Hello!
My research interests include both basic and applied topics in social and I/O (Industrial / Organizational) psychology. My work explores motivation, personality, and well-being, with a focus on how psychological needs are supported or threatened in different environments. Recent projects have investigated topics such as how parenting styles influence student coping strategies, how roommate conflicts impact psychological well-being, and how goals activate personality traits necessary for success.
Are you curious about what drives human behavior? Do you want to gain hands-on experience in psychological research and develop skills that will prepare you for graduate school or a career in behavioral science? If so, consider joining my research team! As a research assistant, you’ll gain experience in study design, data collection, statistical analysis, and academic writing.
Students who work in my lab develop critical thinking, research, and analytical skills, with opportunities to present at conferences, co-author papers, and gain mentorship for graduate school. Whether you're interested in personality psychology, self-determination theory, or I/O psychology this experience will give you a strong foundation in psychological research. If you are interested, please send me an email at pstory@kennesaw.edu or Book a meeting time with me
