Paul A. Story
Hello!
My research interests include both basic and applied topics in social and I/O (Industrial / Organizational) psychology. For example, I have investigated how those who are callous and manipulative (e.g., Machiavellianism, narcissism, and psychopathy) relate to others. I have also studied how being either intrinsically or extrinsically motivated affects expectations of success and the frequency of self-reinforcing behaviors. In the workplace, I have examined how meeting basic psychological needs will increase one’s drive to go the extra mile at work.
My philosophy as a teacher is to inspire students to learn and provide them with the skills necessary for critical thinking for research and ability to handle conflict productively.
I am always actively looking for student researchers. If you are interested, please send me an email at pstory@kennesaw.edu or Book time with Paul Story
