In alignment with Kennesaw State University’s mission to transform lives through academic excellence, innovative research, strong community partnerships, and economic opportunity, the Applied Mathematics in Industry Seminar (AMIS) series provides students with opportunities to connect classroom learning to real-world applications.

Since 2020, Dr. Min Wang and I have co-organized this seminar series to highlight the role of applied mathematics across various industry sectors. Each session features a 40–50 minute presentation followed by a 10–15 minute Q&A and discussion, allowing students to engage directly with professionals and explore diverse career paths available to those with a strong foundation in applied mathematics.

The primary audience includes KSU mathematics faculty and students majoring in mathematics or related fields. Through AMIS, we aim to foster an inclusive and intellectually vibrant environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and professional growth.
