Srijeet Halder

Dr. Srijeet Halder is an Assistant Professor of Construction Management at Kennesaw
State University, where he began in January 2025. He earned his Ph.D. in Environmental
Design and Planning with a focus on Construction Robotics from Virginia Tech in 2023,
where he was recognized with the Outstanding PhD Student Building Construction Award.
He also holds a Master of Engineering in Computer Science with a specialization in
data analytics and artificial intelligence from Virginia Tech, and a Master of Technology
in Construction Engineering and Management from the Indian Institute of Technology,
Delhi. Dr. Halder's research focuses on construction robotics, cyber-physical systems,
and human-computer interaction in the built environment, with particular emphasis
on developing human-centered technologies for construction inspection and monitoring.
His work has been published in leading journals including the Journal of Construction
Engineering and Management, Journal of Human-Computer Interaction, Applied Sciences,
and the Journal of Building Engineering and has presented his work at numerous national
and international conferences. Prior to joining Kennesaw State University, Dr. Halder
served as an Assistant Professor at Appalachian State University and at RICS School
of Built Environment, Amity University in Mumbai, India. He brings extensive industry
experience from his work as a Senior Engineer at L&T Construction, where he was involved
in large-scale industrial projects. Dr. Halder is committed to integrating cutting-edge
research with practical applications in the classroom, preparing students to become
leaders in the evolving construction industry.
