Stephanie Miller

Stephanie Miller is a Senior Lecturer of Accounting and also serves as the Assistant Director of the Coles College of Business Leadership Scholars Program.

Professor Miller has been teaching at Kennesaw State University since 2009, including courses such as Principles of Financial Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, and Accounting Data Analytics.  Prior to joining KSU, Professor Miller taught at the University of Georgia from 2001 to 2007. Her recent publications and research activities include an article in Accounting Education (November 2024, "A modified model of peer support in asynchronous online introductory accounting: is it effective?"), a presentation at the AAA Mid-year AIS and SET Meeting, and presentations at the Annual Conference for Accounting Information Systems Educator Association as well as the Georgia Association of Accounting Educators.


Professor Miller is a certified public accountant (CPA) and she obtained her undergraduate and graduate degrees in accounting from the University of Georgia before starting her career at Ernst and Young. After moving on from public accounting, Professor Miller worked as a litigation support consultant for several major commercial litigation cases, served on the accounting team for non-profit and quasi-governmental organizations, and assisted a start-up as the V. P. of Business Development.
