Research

My research in computational materials chemistry seeks to accelerate the discovery of organic semiconductors by connecting molecular structure to electronic, optical, and charge-transport properties. I combine quantum chemistry, molecular dynamics, condensed matter and device physics, data science, and polymer science, working closely with synthetic chemists and device engineers. My central goal is to develop structure-property-performance relationships for new and improved materials for organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), organic photovoltaics, field-effect transistors, lasers and (bio)chemical sensors.
