Ying Chen
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology of the College of Computing and Software Engineering at Kennesaw State University. My research interests are in the intersection of extended reality systems and machine learning. Specifically, my research builds intelligent augmented and virtual reality systems that integrate environmental sensing and user behavior modeling for more immersive, interactive, and highly personalized experiences.
Before joining Kennesaw State, I obtained my Ph.D. degree in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Duke University in 2024, under the guidance of Prof. Maria Gorlatova in the Intelligent Interactive Internet of Things Lab. In prior, I received my B.Eng.
and M.S. degrees in Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications in 2016 and
2019, respectively.
I am currently seeking motivated, creative Ph.D. students who are interested in my research topics.
