Research
Dr. Kulibert is the faculty mentor in the Social Perceptions and Intergroup Relations Lab at KSU. The SPAIR Lab is located in the Department of Psychological Sciences and conducts research focusing on the understanding of social groups and how these understandings impact people's own behaviors. The lab tends to focus on prejudice, discrimination, stereotyping, and stigma specifically. The ultimate goal of the lab is to help create resources and interventions aimed at improving the lives of marginalized groups.
The research team is interdisciplinary in nature and collaborates with people inside and outside of academia. The lab has KSU students from Psychological Science, Political Science, International Conflict Management, Biology, and Business Management. We also have collaborators from Tulane University, University of Minnesota Duluth, Hamline University, Georgia Southwestern State University, and CloudResearch.
