Internationally-renowned concert cellist with over a dozen performances at Carnegie Hall, and concerts from Alice Tull Hall and Carnegie Hall to Shanghai’s Oriental Arts Center and Tokyo’s Suntory Hall.
Soloist with the Aarhus (Denmark), Dallas, and Fort Worth Symphony Orchestras, the China, Louisiana and Mexico City Philharmonic Orchestras, the Leipzig Radio Orchestra, and the National Symphony Orchestra of Peru.
Passionate proponent of expanding the cello literature. Presented 54 premiere performances, the world premiere recording of 19 works, and is the dedicatee of 20 compositions.
Featured in 13 albums, including the complete music for cello and piano by Robert Rodriguez and Rapsodia Latina, an album featuring seven world premiere recordings, with Gloria Lin. The 2015 Harmonia Mundi recording of the Jimmy López cello concerto Lord of the Air with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra led by Miguel Harth-Bedoya was praised in major North American and European media, and received awards and honors in France, Peru, and the US.
Guest teaches and presents master-classes and lectures in prominent music programs, including Beijing’s Central Conservatory, the Juilliard School, Paris Conservatoire, the Leipzig and Stuttgart Hochschule, and the Yale School of Music.
Adjudicates at prominent national and international cello competitions such as the Lynn Harrell Competition (Dallas), the Sphinx Competition (Michigan), and the Aiqin Bei (China), Lutoslawski (Poland) and Carlos Prieto (Mexico) international competitions.
