Clinical Assistant Professor of Genetics and Molecular Biology

Scientific Background
Education:
Ph.D. in Genetics Area Program of Biology, University of Missouri - Columbia
B.S. in Biology, Truman State University, cum laude

Post-doctoral training:
Project 1:  Investigated changes in DNA methylation over multiple generations in Arabidopsis thaliana by immunoprecipitation of methylated DNA followed by hybridization to microarrays and by massively parallel sequencing.

Project 2: Managed the Seattle TILLING Project, a lab that provided services to other researchers by screening DNA libraries from mutagenized populations. Supervised technicians, directed work flow, managed projects, performed experiments, analyzed data, wrote reports and manuscripts.
