Kanu Priya Singh
Hello! My name is Kanu Priya Singh. I am an Assistant Professor of Interactive Design in the Department of Technical Communication and Interactive Design at the Kennesaw State University's Norman J. Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
I received my Ph.D. in Information Science and Learning Technologies from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Before joining Kennesaw State University, I worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at the XR Pediatrics Lab, housed in the Yale Center of Immersive Technologies in Pediatrics at Yale School of Medicine. Prior to my academic career, I worked as an Information Technology process consultant at Accenture Solutions in India. I also hold a Master of Science (MS) in Information Systems from Drexel University, Philadelphia and a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electronics and Telecommunications from Pune University, India.
My research interests span Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and distributed collaborative work and learning. Specifically, I focus on information and interaction design, user-centered design of digital technologies, and distributed collaboration in workplaces and higher education. My research methods include qualitative and mixed-method approaches, such as interviews, surveys, and focus groups, and system-oriented research methods, such as lab studies and usability tests to evaluate design digital technologies and examine ways to improve their usability and learnability.
In my free time, I enjoy painting and indoor gardening. I also own a blog where I write poetry in both Hindi and English languages.
